About Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Irah, a Canadian Registered Nurse with over 19 years of experience across emergency forensic nursing, public health, rehabilitation, long-term care, and nursing education. I’ve worked with organizations including Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health and previously taught nursing with a focus on clinical judgment, leadership, and professional practice. Through my work with internationally educated nurses, I saw that the challenge wasn’t nursing knowledge — it was learning how to think, prioritize, communicate, and make decisions like a Canadian nurse. That’s why I created Nursing Collective: to give IENs the guidance, preparation, and support needed to succeed in the Canadian licensing process.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. This workshop is a practice environment, not an introduction. You'll get the most from the day if you've already covered Canadian nursing frameworks and the SLA format through a structured prep program like our self-paced online prep course, group coaching, or another program outside of Nursing Collective.
-
Groups are kept intentionally small so every participant gets real feedback, not just observation time.

We can't guarantee specific assessment results—your placement depends on multiple factors including your credentials, experience, and assessment performance. IENs who prepare tend to perform significantly better than those who study on their own.
