ONLINE CBA & SLA GROUP COACHING PROGRAM FOR IENs (RN, LPN, RPN)

The CBA & SLA Aren’t Testing Your Nursing Knowledge

You only get one opportunity to take the CBA and SLA, and your results determine whether you move on to a few weeks of bridging courses or a longer, more costly re-entry program (12-24 months and up to $31,300 for international students). Too often, IENs end up in a costly re-entry program simply because they didn’t prepare the right way. These assessments don’t just test what you know. They assess how you think, decide, and perform within the Canadian healthcare system.

That’s where this 6‑week group coaching program helps. You’ll get live guidance and real-time feedback from a Canadian RN with 17 years of experience, learning how to think, prioritize care, and demonstrate safe judgment within the Canadian healthcare system, so you walk into the CBA and SLA confident and ready.

This 6-week group coaching program gives you:

Weekly live sessions with a 17-year Canadian RN educator (limited to a few IENs per cohort)
Real-time feedback on case scenarios and clinical judgment so you know exactly what assessors evaluate and look for
The complete CBA/SLA Prep Course included (500+ CBA practice questions, 10 nursing case scenario videos, Canadian frameworks—unlimited access until you complete your assessments)
Practice realistic SLA scenarios with expert coaching to build confidence after years away from practice
Small group support from fellow IENs who understand your journey and challenges

Why Live Coaching Changes Everything

You've cared for patients. You know what it means to be a nurse. But trying to get licensed in Canada after years away from practice can feel like starting over.

Between being away from your family, adjusting to a new country, and learning new systems and expectations, it's overwhelming. You’re unsure where to begin and doubting yourself even though you know you're a good nurse.

You're not alone, and you don't have to do this alone.

After 17 years as a Canadian RN and educator, I've watched too many qualified international nurses struggle with the CBA and SLA.

I've seen competent IENs who hadn't practiced in 10+ years walk into their assessment anxious and underprepared, only to be told they needed a full year re-entry program when a few weeks of bridging courses would have been enough. That's why I created this group coaching program.

After years away from practice, knowing what to study is just as important as knowing HOW to perform under pressure.

Here's what live coaching gives you:

✓ Real-time correction when you make mistakes
Practice a case scenario, get immediate feedback on what you missed, why it matters, and how to improve.

✓ Expert insight into what assessors actually evaluate
Learn the subtle differences between "competent" and "needs improvement" in real-time.

✓ Accountability to stay on track
Weekly sessions keep you focused and progressing. Self-study often means "I'll get to it later"—until your assessment is 2 weeks away and you're unprepared.

✓ Learning from others' questions
When another IEN asks a question you didn't think to ask, you both learn. This peer learning accelerates preparation in ways solo study never can.

After coaching hundreds of IENs, I've seen the pattern: Those who prepare with structured guidance perform significantly better than those who study alone—even when using the same materials.

Live coaching teaches you HOW to think and perform in real-time.

Your Weekly Routine (3-5 Hours)

  1. Attend the live coaching session (or review the recording)—practice case scenarios and get real-time feedback.

  2. Complete weekly assignments—practice exercises that reinforce learning and prepare you for the next session.

  3. Apply what you've learned—integrate concepts into your clinical thinking and build exam-day readiness.

What you get when you enroll

✓ Complete CBA/SLA Prep Course

Instant access to the full self-paced course ($397 value): 500+ CBA practice questions, 10 SLA scenario video walkthroughs, Canadian nursing frameworks (SBAR, documentation, clinical judgment), and all study materials. Access remains yours until you complete your assessments—review anytime, even after the 6 week group coaching program ends.

✓ 6 Live Weekly Coaching Sessions

Every Saturday, 10am-12pm PST (March 7 - April 11, 2026). Practice case scenarios with real-time feedback, ask questions, and learn test-taking strategies in a group limited to a few IENs. Get personalized attention you'd never receive in a large class or a self-paced course. All sessions recorded so you can review anytime.

✓ Weekly Assignments to Maximize Your Progress

Between live sessions, complete assigned readings, practice questions, and course modules that prepare you for the next week's coaching. This structure keeps you accountable, reinforces learning, and ensures every live session builds on solid preparation—no wasted time.

✓ Expert Coaching from a 17-Year Nursing Veteran

Work directly with Irah Kwok, a Canadian nurse educator with over 17 years of clinical and teaching experience who's helped hundreds of IENs prepare for their assessments. Private coaching clients pay up to $1,600 for this level of expertise—you get it for $697 in this group format.

✓ Downloadable templates and tools

Canadian documentation templates, nursing assessment cheatsheets, flowsheets, Triple Track Assessment flowchart, and curated textbook chapters—everything you need to walk into your assessment prepared.

✓ Private IEN Community

Stay connected with your cohort between sessions. Ask questions, share experiences, and get encouragement from fellow IENs who understand exactly what you're going through. You're not preparing alone.

What you’ll learn

  • Learn what the CBA and SLA actually assess, the competencies and the question formats you'll encounter, and what Canadian assessors are expecting for competent nursing practice. Set your personalized study schedule and review nursing skills essential for Canadian nursing practice.

Why this matters: You'll stop guessing what to study and focus on exactly what assessors evaluate—no wasted effort.

  • Practice priority questions, delegation scenarios, and test-taking strategies for difficult questions. Learn to identify what the question is really asking and how to eliminate wrong answers systematically.

Why this matters: You'll approach CBA questions with confidence and proven strategies instead of anxiety and guesswork.

  • Practice common nursing care scenarios from medicine, medsurg, and mental health. Learn step-by-step nursing actions, SBAR communication, safety prioritization, and Canadian documentation through live case breakdowns.

Why this matters: You'll know exactly how to handle high-acuity situations and what assessors look for in multi-layered case scenarios that reflect actual Canadian nursing practice.

  • Based on the gaps and questions identified in Weeks 2-3, this session focuses on the areas where YOUR cohort needs the most support. This might include chronic care scenarios—tailored to what the group is struggling with most.

Why this matters: You get personalized coaching on YOUR specific weak areas, not a generic curriculum that might miss what you actually need.

  • Building on Week 4's targeted work, we tackle more complex cases based on your group's remaining knowledge gaps. This session is completely customized to prepare you for the scenarios you're least confident about.

Why this matters: By Week 5, you're practicing the exact types of cases you personally need to master—not wasting time on areas you've already got down.

  • Final case scenario practice and review, addressing remaining questions, reviewing your strongest and weakest areas, and creating your personalized exam day plan. Learn anxiety management techniques for assessment day.

Why this matters: You'll walk into your assessment with a clear plan, confidence in your preparation, and strategies to stay calm under pressure.

"I’m so happy and grateful I have you, Irah. I’m finally done with my SLA and I feel like I did great. Everything we went over during our coaching session helped. I felt so confident after I finished the first case scenario during the SLA until I finished all 5 scenarios. Thank you so much for all your guidance and patience.
