About Your Instructor

Hi, I'm Irah, a Canadian RN with over 19 years of experience across emergency forensic nursing, public health, rehabilitation, long-term care, and nursing education. I've worked with organizations including Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health and previously taught nursing with a focus on clinical judgment, leadership, and professional practice.

Through my work with internationally educated nurses, I saw that the challenge wasn't nursing knowledge. It was learning how to think, prioritize, communicate, and make decisions like a Canadian nurse. I also saw how many IENs were ending up in longer, more costly re-entry programs when the shorter bridging pathway was within reach with the right preparation.

  • No. In fact, it's better to start preparing before you book your dates. You can prepare first, then schedule your assessment when you feel ready. If your assessments are booked and within the next 2-3 months, you should start preparing now.

  • This course focuses specifically on Canadian nursing requirements and the Inspire Global Assessments (formerly NCAS). If you're preparing for assessments in other countries, we recommend confirming requirements with your local regulatory body. This program is built for IENs seeking licensure in Canada.

  • You will have full access to the recordings and prep course until you finish your Inspire Global Assessments (NCAS) CBA and SLA, giving you plenty of time to review and study. Any updates to lessons or added materials during that time are included at no extra cost.
